Degenerative brain diseases are caused by abnormal proteins that accumulate in the brain and induce various clinical symptoms. Dementia and parkinsonism are the most common symptoms. Dementia develops mostly due to Alzheimer’s disease; Lewy body dementia and frontotemporal dementia are some other causes of dementia.
The most common cause of Parkinsonism is Parkinson’s disease.
